About > Who We Are

The American Society of Allergy Nurses was formed in 1988. First starting as Oregon Society of Allergy Nurses 1988-1990, then Northwest Society of Allergy Nurses 1991-2011- The last name change was made at the end of 2011. Their goal is to provide continuing education for nurses, thus helping to ensure high standards of practice and enhance the quality of care for allergy, asthma and immunology patients. Since then, yearly conferences have been held hosting a variety of speakers from around the country. We have been able to offer virtual and in person conference options.

The meetings have been held in Washington or Oregon with nurses from that particular state hosting the conference. This dynamic group of nurses encompasses participants from Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California, Montana, Alaska and other states as far away as Virginia.
